All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a Public Hospital and medical research institute in the capital city New Delhi. The AIIMS is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The AIIMS Delhi is spread in an area of about 100 acres. The east campus of the AIIMS is overhauled by 10,000 patients per day. The AIIMS has also achieved the Kayakalp (first prize for maintaining the cleanliness within the premises) award for being the Cleanest Medical Facility for 3 consecutive years.
The AIIMS institute has ranked first position among Indian Medical Colleges according to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). The AIIMS is not only known for its academic excellence and its achievements inside and outside the country, but also for its involvement in community works that carry out different health activities to enhance health awareness and health accessibility in the country. AIIMS Delhi Placements
- Students are offered a package of 17,900 per month under the internship programs by the AIIMS Delhi.
- AIIMS Delhi Provides placements to its students by selecting them for higher studies (UG TO PG). Thus Junior residents who pursue post graduation courses get 64000 rupees and senior residents who have completed their post graduation get rupees 74000 per month on the basis of 3 year tenure.
- After doing MBBS 1 year internship is compulsory for students to do and they are paid for this internship.
AIIMS Delhi Scholarships
- AIIMS offers Merit Cum Need based scholarships for financial support to undergraduate students of the university,
- The fees are so low that anyone can afford it but even then scholarships are provided to the Nursing and MBBS Students.
- Stipend is also provided to students while studying and practising in the same hospital.
