About:

Coimbatore Marine College (CMC) started in the year 2001 with upgradation course for Marine Engineer. Training offered at Coimbatore Marine College is of high quality and strictly online with the guidelines of DG Shipping and IMO.

Admissions:

Applicants willing to seek admission in the institute can register through online or offline process. Application forms will be available on the official website of the institute.

Courses:

BTech Marine Engineering

Coimbatore Marine College offers Bachelor of Technology - B.Tech in Marine Engineering, a four year course. This course is affiliated to Indian Maritime University, Chennai and approved by D.G. Shipping, Govt of India.

Eligibility:-

 

Passed + 2 or its equivalent with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2

 

The Candidate should appear for IMU Common Entrance Test. The application form for IMU CET is available on www.imu.edu.in

 

The Admission will be given based on the Rank secured in the IMU-CET

 

Age limit:- Below 25 years.

 

Medical standard:- Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eye sight up to 0.5 distance vision with no colour blindness. Minimum height should be 157 centimetres.

 

• BSc in Nautical Science

 

• Coimbatore Marine College offers Bachelor of Science - BSc in Nautical Science, a three year course. This course is affiliated to D.G. Shipping, Govt of India.

 

• Eligibility

Eligibility:- Passed+2 or its equivalent with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2

 

Age limit:- Below 25 years

 

Medical standard:- Candidate should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight 6/6 with no color blindness. Minimum height should be 157 centimeters.

 

 

• Pre Sea Training for Diploma Holders (DME)

 

• Diplomo students can join second year of regular Pre-Sea Training for Diploma Holders (DME) course. This course is a two years residential programme, structured into four academic semesters.

Duration:- Two Years.

• Eligibility

Eligibility:- Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Marine with 55% marks in final year or passed first year of engineering degree from Mechanical/Electrical stream with 60% marks from the college recognized by AICTE.

 

Age limit:- Upto 28 Years

• Graduate Marine Engineering

 

• The Graduate Marine Engineering Course is a one year residential programme, where the cadets undergo theoretical classes with demonstration in well-equipped laboratories and six months (Ship in Campus) training.

• Eligibility

Eligibility:- The candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering after attending a course of 4 years duration from an UGC recognized university and or approved by AICTE, with a minimum marks of 50% in the final year, and a minimum 50% marks in English language at the 10th or 12th standard or in degree examination.

 

Age limit:- Below 28 years.
