MISSION & VISION

Introduction
Jiaganj School of Nursing Training is a joint initiative of Jiaganj Educational and Welfare Society & Lila Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., Berhampore. It is welcoming its fresh batch of Students for the session commencing from 1st September, 2018.

Vision
To facilitate the country providing highest level of qualified, well trained nurses so that the services of health care delivery system reach to the grassroots.

Mission
To achieve our dream of a world where poorest of the poor get equal level of medical treatment as to the reach.

Objectives
The objectives of JSNT are: -

  1. To prepare skilful, competent Nurses for providing holistic care to the ailing in the hospital and community.
  2. To maintain high standards of nursing education through innovative approaches to problem solving.
  3. To develop ability to perform best in the field of nursing health care.
  4. To encourage a sense of dedication and devotion towards their profession.

Infrastructure

JSNT will provide facilities to foster all around development of the students. Some of the important facilities are listed below: -

  2. Ultra-Modern Computer Lab.
  3. Laboratories – State of the Art facilities.
  4. Air Conditioned Multi – Purpose Hall with Seating Capacity of 100.
  5. Well stocked Library in College with internet facilities for students.
  6. Seminar Hall (200 Seating).
  7. Sports Facilities including Badminton Courts, Carom Board, Table Tennis Board etc. ?

Clinical Practice

  1. Clinical Facility in Parent hospital (Lila Hospitals Pvt. Ltd.):
    1. 100 beds at 6 storied (B+G+5) building more than 25000 sq. ft. of operational area.
    2. 4 Modern Operation Theatres.
    3. Critical Care Unit of 10 beds.
    4. High Dependency Unit of 5 beds.
    5. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of 10 beds.
    6. Dialysis Unit of 6 beds.
    7. 24 x 7 Emergency, Ambulance, Pharmacy, full time pathology and Imaging,
    8. 24 x 7 Scan service
    9. All kinds of cashless Treatment through TPA’s & Swasthya Sathi (Govt. of West Bengal)
  2. The students will be given exposure to all these advanced techniques and different procedures. In addition to the above hospitals Lalbagh S.D. Hospital, Kanapukur BPHC and Jiaganj Rural Hospital, Berhampore Mental Hospital are our affiliated hospitals where the trainee nurses will get exposure. In addition to the above the society has applied for affiliation to Murshidabad Medical College & Hospitals for clinical training, which we expect very soon.
  3. A well-developed Community exposure in both urban & rural community centers will be provided to the students for practical community health nursing experience.
  4. Extensive library service together with systematic use of audiovisual aids are available to help the students in their learn process.
  5. Individualized attention right through the programme will be provided.

    1. Title of our Course : General Nursing & Midwifery
    2. Seats : 60 (Sixty)
    3. Recognition & Affiliation : West Bengal Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council.
  2. Duration of the Course : Three (3) Years.
  3. Eligibility for Admission : 10 + 2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with minimum 40 % marks in aggregate & minimum 40 % marks in English for general categories.And as per guidelines of WBNC & INC.

EXAMINATION FEES : The students themselves have to pay their examination fees to the West Bengal Nursing Council for the examination conducted by the Council through the Institution. Apart from the yearly fees, students have to bear of the expenses of uniform, books & stationeries, clinical field Charges, University & all medical expenses.

The fee structure (Hostel & Mess Charges) in future may change, on decision of the management.

Eligibility for Admission : Must have cleared the class 12 board examinations from one of the recognised board education, in the stream of science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English. Candidates will have to individually pass all the mentioned subjects. Rank in JENPAUH and through counselling.
  4. Medium of Instruction : The medium of instruction is Bengali and English.
  5. Placement : Suitable placement will be provided after the successful completion of the course.
