GNM: What is it About?
Nursing is the speciality of dealing with sick and maternity care. As a profession, it is about the provision of help to a mother during pregnancy. GNM Subjects essentially aim to produce qualified and trained general Nurses who can effectively work as part of the medical community.
The program has been designed to enable eligible candidates to address the health needs of the country, community, and individuals. They can also pursue advanced study and specialization in nursing while contributing to the health-based industry with patience, responsibility, and dedication. What is BSc Nursing?
BSc Nursing is a 4-year long undergraduate degree course in India, focusing on preparing talented nursing and paramedical staff. It is offered by top colleges like CMC Vellore, AFMC Pune, JIPMER Puducherry and many other medical colleges in India.
The Syllabus of BSc Nursing focuses on teaching students the key skills of Nursing, Human Anatomy, Nutrition, Microbiology and Genetics. Along with this, the course curriculum also focuses on teaching its students the compassion, empathy and an overall loving attitude towards the patients.
In order to be eligible to pursue this course, students need to have completed their Class XII in Science stream with at least 50% marks. Biology as a subject is mandatory in order to qualify for this course. Some colleges might also ask for English as a subject in Class XII.
Do I Qualify BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria?
In order to be eligible to pursue this course, a students needs to have completed his Class XII education from a recognized board.
They should also have studies PCB and English as compulsory subjects.
A minimum of 50% marks in Class XII exams are required by students in order to qualify for the BSc Nursing course admission.
There is also an age limit criterion for students to be eligible for BSc Nursing. The age of the applicant should be 17+ on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is being done.
Which Subjects are Included in BSc Nursing Syllabus?
BSc Nursing Syllabus includes subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Psychology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and many other related subjects. BSc Nursing syllabus is divided into 6 parts. The student must focus on all six parts equally. All the parts are equally important including General Knowledge.
All the parts of BSc Nursing syllabus are stated in the table below. For this table, we have referred to the syllabus offered by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. The subjects almost remain same in all the colleges. There are just a few variations depending on the aim of the college.
