Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing

WBJEE JENPAUH-2019 is conducted for Admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses in different Government and Private Nursing colleges / Institutions of West Bengal through Joint Entrance Test (JENPAUH-2019) conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on behalf of Central Selection Committee (Nursing), West Bengal Government College of Nursing (SSKM Hospital Campus) functioning under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. West Bengal B.Sc. Nursing admission 2020 will start from 2nd week of June and the candidates who are looking forward to take admission in B.Sc. Nursing in West Bengal need to appear for the JENPAUH Entrance Examination.JENPUS UG entrance exam is a state-level entrance exam used for the admission of the various programs such as B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (CCT, OTT, PT, electrophysiology, RIS, dialysis), BPT, BASLP, and BMLT courses. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is responsible for the admission process of the B.Sc. Nursing course. Candidates who have qualified in JENPAUH 2019 and for B.Sc. Nursing are allowed to participate in the online counselling process

West Bengal B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria For JENPAUH

  1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum qualifying marks as stated below:
  2. Candidates must not be below 17 years of age as on 31st December 2019.
  3. 45% and above marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) for unreserved category of candidates.
  4. 40% and above marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) for reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC and PWD).
  5. Must be permanent resident (Uninterruptedly for 5 Years) of West Bengal for admission in Government & Private Nursing Institution. The candidate or her parents should possess Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority, Government of West Bengal in the Government prescribed proforma like a1, a2 or b.
  6. Candidates have to secure pass marks in each subject separately in theory and practical in (10+2) level examinations for both reserved and unreserved candidates. For example any HS passed candidate has to secure pass marks both in theory and practical separately for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and pass marks in English also.

The process of online allotment is as follows:

Round 1

  • Payment of counseling fees online
  • Generation of Payment Transaction ID
  • Registration for Counselling Process
  • Exercising of Choices and locking of Choices
  • Process of Seat Allotment - Round 1
  • Result Publication - Round 1
  • Verification of documents at auditorium of Academic Building of SSKM Hospital (only for candidates who have been allotted seats in any B.Sc. Nursing College in West Bengal).
  • Reporting at the allotted B.Sc. Nursing College against 1st Round

Round 2

  • Process of Seat Allotment - Round 2
  • Result Publication - Round 2
  • Verification of documents in the specified venue, for candidates who have been allotted a seat in B.Sc. Nursing College in West Bengal. Candidates already verified in earlier rounds need not re-appear for verification.
  • Reporting at the allotted Nursing Colleges against Round 2 seat allotment
  • Publication of total vacant seats

Subsequent round(s)

If There Are Vacant Seats Lying In The Colleges After 2nd Round Of Allotment Or If Any Additional New Seats Are Included In The Seat Matrix Due To Induction Of Any New Institute

Eligible For Subsequent Round(S)

Group-I: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st or 2nd round of seat allotment.

Group-II: Registered candidates, whose 2nd round of allotted seat gets cancelled during the document verification or reporting for admission and who have secured seat under reserved quota, due to change of category from reserved to Unreserved or PWD status from Yes to No, but who would still be eligible in the next round of seat allotment, with changed criteria, subject to fulfilment of their eligibility conditions.

Group–III: Candidates who have given option for participation in subsequent round(s) at the time of 1st and/or 2nd round reporting at allotted institutions

Original documents for admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses are as mentioned below:

  2. Rank information issued by WBJEEB 2019
  3. Allotment letter
  4. Age proof
  5. Class 12 Mark sheet and Certificate (provisional/final)
  6. SC/ST/OBC A or B certificate (if applicable)
  7. PWD certificate (if applicable)
  8. Domicile certificate (a1, a2 or b proforma as applicable)
  9. Medical Certificate
  10. 10. Aadhaar card/Voter card
  11. Verification certificate issued by the verification centre at Auditorium, Academic Building, SSKM hospital (PG Hospital)

GNM NURSING

West Bengal GNM 2020: West Bengal Nursing Council releases a notification for GNM training (General Nursing and Midwifery course). Eligible candidates will get admission to various institutions of West Bengal state. To participate in the admission procedure of GNM conducted in the state of West Bengal candidates need to fill and submit the application form available on the official website. On the basis of the merit list which will be prepared by the authorities, candidates will be able to get admission. The merit list will be provided on the basis of the information provided by the applicant in the application form regarding marks secured by them in the HSC exams.

  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Indian citizens are only eligible to apply for the admission procedure.
  • Applicants must be a permanent resident of West Bengal having a valid domicile certificate of West Bengal state. Permanent resident of the District of West Bengal (from where he/she is applying) uninterruptedly for at least five years
  • 12th Pass in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Bio Science) with Minimum 40 % Marks.
  • Applicants must be a able to read, write and speak in Bengal / Nepali.
  • Appearing candidates of HSC are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should be above the age of 17 years and below the age of 27 years at the time of admission.

The Application form of West Bengal GNM and the notification will be available in online mode on the official website. Visit the official website of the west Bengal health university in order to fill the application form. Read all the instructions related to the application form before filling the application form. Download the application form from the official website and start filling the form carefully and fill all the necessary details. Check the information in the application form once the application form is completely filled. The details provided in the application form must be proper and accurate else the application will be rejected.

Send the filled application form of West Bengal GNM 2020 to the university by registered post with Speed post, Courier only. Attach some necessary required documents along with the duly filled application form. Application forms received after due date will not be considered by the authorities. West Bengal GNM Merit List will be available in online mode on the official website of the university. The authority will prepare the merit list on the basis of the marks secured by the applicants in the past qualifying academic exam. Visit through the official website of the university and check the merit list. Candidates will be able to get admission in different universities on the basis of the merit list.
