After pursuing fashion photography courses, students become professionals in their course and are eligible to work with advertising agencies, or as independent fashion photographers. During the start of their career, most of the fashion photographers assist established and renowned photographers. This helps them to gain relevant experience and improvise their skills.

There are mainly three categories of fashion photographers- high-end fashion photographers, mail order catalog photographers and magazine photographers. High end and magazine photographers tend to have higher salary packages as compared to mail order catalog photographers.

 

 

 

 

 

The entry-level salary of a fashion photographer is between Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 3.5 lakh per assignment. The figures vary as per the budget of the assignment and professional experience. Some photographers also prefer doing freelance rather than regular jobs.
