Marine Engineering deals with design ,operation and servicing of ship machinery and engines .The course associated with construction and maintenance of ship as well as other sailing vessels .The marine Engineers are engaged in supervising engine crew involved in operating the machines .They also check smooth functioning of electrical motors ,steam engines and propulsive engines ,etc.They are continuously take efforts to improve the efficiency of turbines , shipboards conventional steam, nuclear propulsion and mainly diesel engine.

(i).Pass in (10+2)or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)with 60% from a recognized Board of any University (ii) Should have passed with not less then 50% marks in English as a subject ,at either 10th or 12th standard |
(i) Not more then 25 years of age on date of commencement of course .two years concession will be given to female candidates. (ii) For Scheduled caste (SC)/Scheduled tribes (ST) candidates Five(5)Years upper age limit relaxation is given subject to submission of authentic documentation by the candidates. |
(i)Medically fit as per the standards prescribed by M.S. Medical Examination Rules,2000. (ii)Use of corrective lenses for eyesight is permitted but the maximum permissible limits ,at entry ,are 6/12 in each eye of 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in other eye for distant unaided . |
